The deck is not lying, exactly. It is grammar. It takes a messy year and gives it bullet points and a direction of travel.

The trouble starts when you begin quoting the deck to yourself.

This one is deliberately unfinished. Which slide of you is most inaccurate? The good lines get built into the longer piece.
