THE HOBBY I NOW INTRODUCE AS “SOMETHING I USED TO DO”

Nobody stops. There is no ceremony, no last session, no final page. The tense simply changes when you are not looking.

Used to paint. Used to run. Used to play, badly, on a borrowed instrument in a room with poor acoustics.

The equipment stays, which is the part that gets you.

This one is deliberately unfinished. Name the hobby that changed tense on you. The good lines get built into the longer piece.
