It happens in a corridor or a bad call. A sentence slips out: I honestly don't know either.

First it is alarming, because you assumed the confidence was informational rather than decorative.

Then it is liberating, and slightly lonely, because it means the adults you were waiting for are simply the people already in the room.

This one is deliberately unfinished. Add the moment an adult admitted they didn't know. The good lines get built into the longer piece.
